The central viewpoint road's rough concrete above 400 metres it takes without the CB300R's precision, then continues 2 km of dirt past the tarmac end. The 4 km elephant-sanctuary forest track, with root crossings and two stream beds, its spoked wheels and adventure tyres manage to a ridge temple 12 km closer than any tarmac approach. A 200 m Hua Thanon sand track it crosses at 10 km/h where I once pushed a CB300R. Then 25 km of ring road home, seamless.
